SINGERS

Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) voice edition: From May 22 to June 1, 2007. This will mark the sixth edition in the Competition's history and the third dedicated to lyrical art.

The MIMC is extremely fortunate to benefit from the partnership with renowned Orchestre symphonique de Montreal for the Compeition's final round and Gala Concert of the Winners, and of CBC/Radio-Canada for, among other things, providing live internet coverage of the semi-final (in audio and video) and broadcasting the final live over its French and English stations. Moreover, CBC/Radio Canada's close association with the European Broadcasting Union ensures that national radio stations in many countries around the world are given access to the recordings of the final.

Young opera singers aged 33 years or less on January 1rst, 2007 who are interested in submitting an application to the 2007 edition of the MIMC have until December 15, 2006 to do so. Please note the competition will cover the travel and lodging expenses of all candidates selected to take part in the semi-final in Montreal.
